Artist Erwin Ong will guide you through block printing and pattern-making basics with used clothes.  You will leave with your own creation and the skills to upcycle at home! Come with an article or two of clothing. Cotton or linen fabrics are best: shirts\, sweatshirts\, bandanas/scarves\, tote bags\, etc. This workshop is meant for caregivers  with children and is best for ages 4+. \n$8 per person for members\, $12 per person non-members.

This artwork will inspire the mural Erwin is designing and painting in our Legacy building\, as well as be displayed as a part of a larger exhibition at the J. \nThis project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program\, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by ArtsWestchester.

R&B/soul line dancing instructor\, Steve “The Fun Bunch” Dillard\, and guest choreographers will lead you through easy-to-follow steps to music that will uplift your soul. \nAll ages and levels are welcome! If you’re new to line dancing and/or have kids in tow\, we’ve reserved 2-3 PM for families and absolute beginners as dances will be taught more slowly. \nWhere: The Shames JCC Gymnasium: 371 S. DESCRIPTION:Preschool Sleep Workshop (Online)\nAre you struggling with your child’s sleep? Is your once amazing sleeper suddenly waking up during the night? Is your child fighting their bedtime routine? \nSleep is important at every stage of your child’s life for their physical\, mental\, cognitive\, and social-emotional health. In this workshop\, we will discuss strategies to set your child up for success\, including: \n-Healthy sleep habits for your child\n-Age appropriate bedtime routines\n-Developmentally appropriate ways to communicate the importance of sleep to your child\n-Calming ways to address nighttime fears\n-Balancing multiple kids bedtime routines \nEach participating family will also receive a 15 minute call with Angie to discuss your unique child’s sleep at no additional cost (to be used within 1 month from the date of the workshop). \nZoom link will be sent out the day before the workshop. \nAngie Rothing\, founder of Parent with Pride\, is a Certified Infant and Child Sleep Consultant with the Family Sleep Institute and holds a BA in Psychology from Ramapo College. Angie has always had a passion for helping others. In 2018\, Angie and her wife welcomed their twin girls into the world and Angie discovered a calling to all things motherhood and parenting related.
