DESCRIPTION:Gourd Art is the fascinating process of carving\, burning\, painting and weaving on nature’s pottery: hard shelled gourds. Local gourd artist Beth Kane takes students through the process of turning a simple\, hard shelled gourd into a stunning vase. Participants will use wood-burning techniques and alcohol inks to create a unique and useful piece of art for their homes. Please bring a protective smock or wear “painting clothes.” Beginner through advanced crafters encouraged.
