Much of what we call “jazz” can actually be discovered in the first two pages of this extraordinary French impressionist piano composition. Though the piece doesn’t rhythmically “swing\,” when Rocco demonstrates at the piano\, you will be astonished to see and hear the forward-thinking melodic and harmonic jazzy elements Debussy used in 1905.
